Arrival Times/Late Arrivals/No Shows
In order to make the most of your appointment, arriving 5-10 minutes early will ensure you have ample time to choose your color from our large selection of polishes, hang up your coat, fill out any relevant forms and get settled in. Please allow enough time to get here.
If you are running behind, please try to inform us as soon as you know. We always try our best to accommodate clients, as we understand that life happens. If your aesthetician is booked for another appointment immediately after yours, we may have to modify your service to fit within the shortened time period.
We do not require a credit card to hold certain services, nor do we charge for missed appointments. A “no show” for a nail or hair removal appointment however will require you to leave a credit card to hold all future appointments, and will be liable to our cancellation policy for services requiring a credit card. Appointments cancelled within the hour will fall into this category. Clients that have appointments for services that do require a credit card (Massage, Facial, Eye Lash Extensions and Group Bookings) will be charged 100% of the missed service price plus 20% gratuity.
We try to be as relaxed as possible for your cancellations. For this reason, we do not require a credit card for many of our services. As a courtesy to us, please inform us as soon as possible if you need to make any changes to your appointment, preferably 24 hours. This gives us enough time to fill your cancellation with another appointment.
Rescheduling or cancelling any services requiring a credit card (Massage, Facial, Eyelash Extensions and Group Bookings), needs a minimum of 24 hours for individual appointments, and 48 hours for group bookings of 3 or more. This includes adding/removing a client from a party, or changing one or more of the services that will be provided. For cancellations or changes made within 24 hours (or 48 hours for parties), clients will be charged 50% of the service price. For ‘no shows’ or cancellations within the hour, 100% of the service price, plus 20% gratuity will be charged.
Prices and Gratuity
Prices are listed for individual services and gratuities are not included. We are often asked what an appropriate amount to ‘tip’ the estheticians is. This is entirely at the clients’ discretion. The standard is between 15-20% of the service. The staff prefers cash tips, but debit/credit gratuity is always an option. For groups of 3 or more, an automatic 20% gratuity is charged. We currently accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), debit payments, Sekai Nail and Beauty Bar Gift Cards, and cash.
Babies, Children and Pets
Babies and children are not permitted in our lower-level spa area. We accommodate services for mothers with babies on our main floor for nails and eyebrows, provided you are carrying your child, or the baby is sleeping. We hope you understand that if your baby starts to cry, we may ask you to step outside, as this can disturb other guests. Please inform us prior to your appointment if you will be bringing your child.
Pets are against our hygiene policies and can potentially aggravate allergies that our staff and patrons may have. For this reason, we kindly request you leave your pets outside.
Please inform us of any medical conditions and medication you are currently taking. We reserve the right to refuse services to clients suffering from communicable diseases or any infection that could potentially compromise our practices that prevent the spread of infections.
While we perform services on minors, we require a parent or guardian present for any child under the age of 16. We reserve the right to refuse appointments to any underage client.
